Yonder Window Theatre Company

I have been working closely with Yonder Window Theatre Company since 2018. My roles have included Assistant to the Artistic Director (2018-2020) and Administrative Director (2020-Present).

Yonder Window Theatre Company is dedicated to the exploration of cross- cultural and social relationships. Through the use of interdisciplinary performative arts, we seek to create innovative and relevant productions that explore the universal themes of the human experience both domestically and abroad.

Notable projects include:

The Dream Project 3.0, Montreal (10/2019)
Industry Play-Reading of Jasper by Grant MacDermott (06/2019)
Creative Crusade (Ongoing)
New York Teen Shakespeare Intensive

The Dream Project 3.0, Montreal

...is a collaboration between North American artists from Mexico, United States and Canada.

In this project, Shakespeare’s ageless tale, A Midsummer’s Night’s Dream, is deconstructed and reinvented into a multilingual and multidisciplinary spectacle.

Complete with original music, dance & aerial choreography, Spanish, French and English text and cutting edge design, The Dream Project encompasses the most compelling art forms of North American culture.

I worked closely with YWTC Artistic Director, Katie McHugh, for over a year to bring this production to life. During this time, Katie and I were faced with the challenge of preparing a production from a country it would not be performed in. One of our biggest challenges was finding a venue that could accomodate the technical requirements of a circus production. My role during this time was to support Katie as her Assistant. I had a wide range of duties, but, essentially, Katie and I worked side by side to manage the budget, gather a team of highly skilled designers and technicians, arrange travel and contracts for performers from three different countries, and maintain correspondence with venues and contractors. The end result was a beautiful success. This project was a turning point for me in my career and really helped to equip me with the necessary tools needed to be a producer.

Industry Play-Reading of Jasper by Grant MacDermott

In June 2019, I served as the Assistant Producer for an industry play-reading of new play Jasper by Grant MacDermott at Shetler Studios & Theatres. This reading featured Abigail Hawk (Blue Bloods), Jessica Pimentel (Orange is the Black, and Hisham Tawfiq (The Blacklist).
My role for this project included corresponding with talent agents, rehearsal scheduling, and inviting industry professionals and leaders to attend. (I also created the poster!)

Creative Crusade

The Yonder Window Creative Crusade is a new devised project started during COVID-19 quarantine. Yonder Window's devising process begins with performers creating a solo piece. So, we asked our audience and patrons on Social Media to create a solo piece entitled "The Story of My Solitude" exploring what solitude means to them. As the project comes to a close, Yonder Window will compile all the submissions to craft a script entitled "The Story of Solitude." This project is currently on-going. Check out YWTC Facebook and Instagram to watch the submissions.
This is a project I feel very proud of. This project was not started out of fear of COVID-19, but out of the desire to explore our current circumstance and look within ourselves. Our entire team has been working very hard to create content and keep the company moving forward during this crisis.

New York Teen Shakespeare Intensive

The New York Teen Shakespeare Intensive, a young actor training program of Yonder Window Theatre Company, delves deeply into Shakespeare’s works, characters, and language through a progressive program of physical movement training and character development techniques to prepare young actors, ages 15-19, with the fundamentals required for university and the professional acting arena.

I took on the role of Administrative Director of the New York Teen Shakespeare Intensive in 2019. I lead school outreach, correspondence with parents, students, and teachers, and prepared paperwork and applications for incoming students. Unexpectedly, COVID-19 has changed the course of our intensive. Surprisingly, however, we are continuing to receive registrations for our intensive before and after we announced our move to an online classroom setting.
