I wrote Bolt Cutters for The Lovebirds Project: Midtown Nomads. With no help from home and very little job experience Liz finds a creative way to make rent. After having a drunken one night stands she tells her flings that she's pregnant and needs help coming up with money for an abortion. The men happily throw the money at her and run, never to be seen again (or so she thought). One day while out for a bike ride Liz runs into the first victim of her con while he's attempting to steal her bike. Liz feels compelled to tell the truth when Rhett expresses his immense guilt over running away all those years ago. Suddenly, Liz realizes that her trickery may have hurt more than her victims' wallets.
F*ck Pill is a screenplay I wrote about birth control pills. Most women experience mental health side effects while using hormonal birth control, but are very seldom warned about it when filling their prescription. People don't tend to feel comfortable talking about mental health issues or birth control so I wanted to create a lighthearted piece that any gender would find both funny and informative. The story follows Lynsey and her battle with the mental health side effects of birth control.
Liz & Jay
This scene was written for The Lovebirds Project: Chaos Theory. Liz and Jay have recently broken up after five months of dating. Since they share the same friends the broken couple continue to hang out and after a drunken night they end up sleeping together again. The next morning feels just like it did before. Jay orders their usual Seamless breakfast delivery, they flirt, and even make plans for that evening. As she's leaving, however, Liz realizes that pretending everything is normal isn't the same as making everything right.
